About Me

Over the last four years, my journey into developing a better understanding about the world of video games has lead to both professional and personal milestones that I feel would be remised to go unhonored. Time never ceases in its forward march, and as such, precious moments stored within the code of this blog’s heart continuously stand to remind the world and myself how I came to love Esports so.

As both a consultant and avid follower of the scene itself, the outreach and patience of those who paved the way before me has inspired a deep rooted desire to share what I have learned with other passionate individuals. My hope is that someone out there will one day view this blog and realize that there is a career, a home, and a community out there waiting for them just behind the scenes of the professional gaming world.

Personal History

During my early life, my parents offered countless opportunities to me. Among the most prominent examples were “trial periods of interests” so to speak. They allowed me the flexibility to explore countless different hobbies. Everything from sports, acting, to academic related endeavors (The majority of which, I assure you, haunt me to this day…the 2 mile long “warm up” runs…I shutter even now) Kidding aside, my interests were undoubtedly something of a constant coin flip.

Everyone suffers from some ‘self fulfilling prophecy’ mindset or another. We are, after all, the Point of View our stories and adventures follow for a lifetime. But there is a special kind of loneliness that I believe many have not only experienced, but have suffered from in a way that left them before an impasse of dissonance; a expanse that separated their story from understanding the rest of the world. I knew that feeling well, how unfitting all these roles felt. How odd it was to exist without a passion.

It took years for me to realize that gaming was my escape. A controller or mouse what the reality, or more so break from reality, that truly made me feel whole. It was the one thing that I always came back to; no matter the reason, place, or cost; video games were what made me happiest.

It would certainly take little to no effort to write several pages worth of ramblings discussing how various genres effected my mood, inspired my creativity, or broke my heart, but why not save that for the Blog Feed. This section is dedicated to sharing who I am BECAUSE of those moments. How I grew alongside creatures of wild fantastical fantasy, how I built my social skills by caring for NPCs who would glitch and t-pose through every unbarred surface in their range. It sounds ridiculous im sure, to some, but I know out there there are millions who know what I am trying desperately to express through words alone.

Such memories serve as an underlying reminder of how far I have grown. How my love for video games became my anchor. I couldnt talk about them enough, I ran my poor parents heads in circles. However, nowadays I get paid! Had seven year old me known such a future awaited her, she might just have burst into tears (God knows I still do often enough when I consider how far she has come).

While esports have explicitly become my entire career focus, I do not want memory lane to distract from the credibility of this blog. I have been working professionally in the gaming scene for more than 4 years now, but will make no attempt to call myself an expert. More so, I believe that the experience and results found within this blog shall speak for themselves.

The goal of this website is not merely to share personal anecdotes with those in class who are working to make canvas deadlines the same as I. Truthfully, I do want you all to take something away from what I share here. There is a great deal of exciting professional topics that business and STEM majors alike could find in the world of video games, and to encourage that growth is the kind of reckless compassion I want to share with those who felt that same misplacement as I did at some point or another.

If you adored that rush of winning, mourning, or even simply just enjoyed spending time with others while playing a video game, I hope you consider for a moment, that perhaps your talents and passions can also live side by side with the working world we are soon to be thrust into after graduation~

Memorable Quotes

Never accept the world as it appears to be, dare to see it for what it could be…

Overwatch

“They’re not cheering for you. They cheer the possibility of a better tomorrow, not the deeds we did today. But how will the hearts of the people move tomorrow and the next day? That is for you to decide…”

Fire Emblem

“Let us stand together, for though you are the hero of legend, heroes need not stand alone…”

Legend of Zelda

Let’s build something together.
